Fraser Island Travel Guide: Natural Beauty

The golden days of Fraser Island — I am And Tiasa

We wanted to take a breather from the busy life in Melbourne — me, Green and my dear girlfriend Tiasa.
Tiasia first said, “Let’s visit Fraser Island!
I agreed and thought to myself, “Where is this girl that drags?

Preparation: From car rental to hotel booking

We flew to Brisbane from Melbourne. Rented a 4WD vehicle from there (about $150 AUD/day), as normal vehicles do not drive on the sandy roads of Fraser Island.
Ferry tickets are also required, around $130 AUD, including car.

A wide sandy beach curves along the Fraser Island coastline, with gentle waves, clear blue-green water, and sparse vegetation on the rocky foreground under a clear sky.

I booked a resort as a hotel — Kingfisher Bay Resort, costs as much as $250 AUD a day.
“I was counting the cost,” Tiasa said. Spend more, the fun should not be less!

Departure: On the way to Fraser Island

From the moment we boarded the ferry, the mood turned completely. The light breeze, the salty smell, Tiasa’s happy face — it felt like stepping into a childhood storybook.
Tiasa said, “Green, sounds like a romantic movie soundtrack!
I smiled and said, “There are heroes and heroines in movies, we are two crazy people!

Our trip to Fraser Island

Lake McKenzie – Blue Heaven

was the first destination, Lake McKenzie
When I stepped into the water, it felt as soft as cotton.
Tiasa leapt into the water and said, OH my god, green, the water is just as cold as ice!
I wet my feet and said, “No brother, I am not as brave as you!
At the end, he dragged me and threw me into the water.
Stomach bursting with laughter!
Later, the two of us were chatting under the sun — stories of mischief at school, boring life at the office, and so many dreams.

Eli Creek – Floating on the riverbed

Then I went to Eli Creek
Here is the fun of floating in the cold spring water!
Tiasa just went with the floating mat of water — I walked back and forth, saying, “The princess is floating, I’m pushing the servant!
Tiasa made such a jump that even my glasses got wet with the splash of water.
Then the roll of his laughter!
Hours passed in the water.

Central Station Rainforest – Forest of green mystery

Then I entered Central Station Rainforest in its green state.
Once inside, it looked ghastly — huge trees, foggy roads.
Tiasa said, “Green, if Tarzan suddenly comes now, I’ll run away with him on the vine.
I said, “If Tarzan sees you, he will say, Brother, I did not want such a girlfriend!
We both laughed and rolled on the ground.
As I walked, I felt the small fountains, the calls of birds, and the silent love of nature.

Mahen Shipwreck – Witness to the Past

Fraser Island
A large, rusted shipwreck rests partially submerged on Fraser Island’s sandy beach, with gentle waves lapping against its hull under a partly cloudy sky.

I went in the late afternoon to Hear Shipwreck to see
A huge shipwreck on the seashore — like a page from a storybook!
Tiasa stood and posed like a movie heroine.
I said, “You want to be Rose (Titanic), but remember, the ship sank!
Tiasa jokingly splashed a wave of water at me.
That moment will feel like a lifetime — the laughter, the sound of the ocean, and our shadows in the late afternoon colors.

last word

On our trip to Fraser Island, Tiasa and I not only saw nature, but also rediscovered ourselves.
Laughter, anger, fun, petty mischief — all in all, it’s been a strangely sweet trip.
Still, if you close your eyes, it seems —
Tiasa screamed, “Green, save! The wave is coming!“And I’m running back laughing…

On the island of memories, we still walk… hand in hand.
